On Monday, October 17th over 100 NFL employees, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, New York Giants players Janoris Jenkins, Donte Deayon and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, as well as New York Jets legend, Tony Richardson teamed up with United Way of New York City for a day of service increasing youth health and wellness.
Volunteers transformed outdoor learning spaces at East Success Gardens Park, a 40,000 square-foot community garden—painting murals and sheds, conducting garden maintenance, and building garden beds, picnic tables, and more. Volunteers also facilitated a PLAY 60 fitness clinic for 110 4th and 5th graders from Brooklyn Gardens Elementary School—bringing the field to students in Brownsville, Brooklyn.
