United We Prepare
With support from Verizon, United Way can better prepare communities for future disasters.
United Way and 211 - the 24/7 resource we support - play a vital role in helping communities prepare for disaster. Through a partnership with Verizon, this work has expanded further to include developing disaster preparedness workshops for community residents and non-profits; optimizing resource allocation and in-kind allocations & donations; and launching education campaigns to boost awareness of preparedness best practices.
