Since 2016, United Way has helped hundreds of Cummins employees in Canada and the U.S. give students an extra boost. Employees have built school supply and hygiene kits and distributed them to elementary schools, youth centers, the Salvation Army and shelters.

At the start of the 2019 school year, Cummins sites and local United Ways partnered together to assemble hundreds of back-to-school kits for students whose families may not be able to afford school supplies, snack pack kits with healthy snacks for children in low-income areas, health kits filled with important hygiene products like shampoo, soap, and toothbrushes, and winter care kits with gloves, hats, blankets, and more.
