Starbucks and United Way have a shared commitment to strengthening communities. We led a joint effort to help our unsheltered neighbors in December 2019, and are continuing to create economic development in underserved communities.
Together, we are connecting people to relevant resources and programs in their communities that encourage economic opportunity and increased financial mobility. Through the expansion of Starbucks Community Stores, local United Ways help store partners (employees) provide special programming in these stores to bring together their community – from job training to mentorship programs. Additionally, United Way connects partners with volunteer activities that create real change in the neighborhoods in which they live and work.
