Rebecca is the Chief Operating Officer of Diagnostics Development and Commercialization at Eli Lilly and Company. In this position, Rebecca provides leadership, strategic partnership, portfolio and project management expertise to deliver diagnostics in a global environment.  She is a dedicated and results-oriented professional with more than 25 years in the pharmaceutical industry.  Since joining Eli Lilly, Rebecca has held leadership positions in oncology laboratory research, clinical biomarkers, and diagnostics development and commercialization. She specializes in building and leading strong teams, fostering collaboration, navigating complex environments, and bridging gaps between technical and non-technical stakeholders to achieve impactful results.  Rebecca believes in leading through authenticity and has been honored with multiple awards for scientific achievements and her role in diversity initiatives.  

Rebecca has a B.S. in Biochemistry and M.S. in Nutrition Biochemistry from the University at Buffalo, and a Six Sigma black belt certification.

Alongside her love for science, Rebecca has a passion for volunteerism and philanthropy.  She has been volunteering for more than 30 years focusing on health care, food security, career mentoring for women, aiding and empowering domestic abuse victims, gender equity and early childhood education.  Rebecca is a member of the Women United Global Leadership Council, Tocqueville society, and is a Steering Committee Member and Past Chair of Women United of Central Indiana.  She served on the United Way of Central Indiana Board of Directors and has been a United Way Ambassador, ReadUp tutor, Advisory Board member, United Way Engagement Chair, American Red Cross instructor, American Cancer Society instructor, and a volunteer at dozens of community agencies and food pantries.  She will be a volunteer coordinator at Team USA House during the 2024 Paralympics in Paris, France.  

Rebecca began to engage her daughters in volunteer work when they were in elementary school, hoping to inspire them and teach them the importance of giving back. Her daughters, who are now in college, continue to volunteer in their communities.  In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her daughters. Together, they enjoy traveling to new places, and aim to visit all 30 MLB stadiums, all 50 states, and many countries. Rebecca also enjoys hiking, writing, crafting, antique shopping and experimenting in the kitchen.
