Job Training
With the ever-changing global economy, including evolving technology, many adults need more education and training to succeed in the job market.
United Way is working to help people get on a path toward financial security. That starts with access to education and training opportunities to prepare people for good-paying jobs with the potential to grow into long-term, sustainable careers that can support a family.
Many United Ways help people get secondary school diplomas, licenses, certifications, or vocational training. And others are partnering with employers, educators, and government to build an employment pipeline for high-quality, high-paying jobs – supporting both individuals and creating thriving communities.. At the same time, we’re partnering with other nonprofits to make financial education, coaching and related services more accessible to people who need them.
United Ways deliver meaningful results for those served through job training programs - 39% earned job-related licenses or credentials and 74% increased their disposable income.
