Donna Stewart, EVP, Chief People and Culture Officer, United Way Worldwide

Donna Stewart is the Executive Vice President and Chief People & Culture Officer at United Way Worldwide (UWW). She leads UWW’s People & Culture team, overseeing efforts related to talent recruitment, development, and retention; employee benefits; DEI strategy; and human resources capacity building efforts in support of the United Way network. 

Donna is a seasoned human resources executive with more than 30 years of experience leading, designing, and executing comprehensive people strategies, policies, processes, and critical initiatives to advance organizational goals and a people-centered culture. Most recently Donna was the Chief People and Culture Officer at Child Care Aware of America where, among other accomplishments, she developed and integrated the HR infrastructure for a newly formed subsidiary organization, established and led an internal DEI council, and drove significant organization-wide increases in employee engagement metrics. She also served as the Vice President of Human Resources for Hostelling International USA, and the Senior Director of Human Resources for Association of American Medical Colleges.  

Donna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from National-Louis University and is accredited as a SHRM Senior Certified Professional and a Senior Professional in Human Resources from the Human Resource Certification Institute.
