Mr. Uribe served as the Global Productivity and Organization transformation officer at the Procter & Gamble company, the world´s largest maker of consumer-packaged goods, from December 2012 until retirement on July 1, 2015. Prior to that, Mr. Uribe spent more than 30 years with Procter & Gamble, serving as Group President of Latin America from 2004 to 2012, as Vice President, Marketing and Customer Business development, Latin America from 2001 to 2004 and as Vice President, Venezuela and the Andean Region from 1999 to 2001. Before that he held a number of positions of increasing responsibility in Switzerland, Cyprus, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates & Gulf Countries, Saudi Arabia and Colombia. Mr. Uribe is a non-executive director of General Mills, a leading Global Food company, Ingredion INC, a Global ingredient companies, and in Colombia, Grupo Argos, an infrastructure holding company, and Carvajal SA, a Paper, Packaging and School notebooks making company.
Mr. Uribe has a longstanding commitment to United Way, having served on the boards of the United Way in Colombia, United Way International and the United Way Global Transition Board. He chaired the international Membership Support and Development Committee, the worldwide membership accountability committee and the United Way Worldwide Resource Development Committee. He also provided leadership to the creation of United Way in Brazil, Chile, Panama initiative and works to increase network capacity in the Latin American region. Mr. Uribe is personally dedicated to improving communities, having served on the board of directors for the American Chamber of Commerce, Council of American Companies, National Industry Association in Colombia and Conapri, American Chamber of Commerce and as President of Alianza Social in Venezuela.
