Statement from Angela F. Williams, President & CEO of United Way Worldwide
"On Saturday, May 14, 2022, 10 people were killed and three injured in a hate crime in Buffalo, New York. Eleven victims were African-American, and the attack was deliberately live-streamed online. We cannot become desensitized to acts of violence against each other.
We must do better. Racially-motivated violence can no longer be tolerated. My thoughts and prayers go out to the grieving families, loved ones, and the entire city of Buffalo. Learn more about how you can help, here.
No color, no religion, no nationality should come between us, we are all children of God - Mother Teresa."
