Multidisciplinary leads representing influential groups, including Paramount, NFL Players Association, and the World Health Organization elected to strengthen and advance United Way Worldwide efforts

Alexandria, VA—Today, United Way Worldwide announced the election of five new Board of Trustees chosen by United Way members at the Annual Meeting of the Members held on July 15, 2024. 
 

Election to the United Way Worldwide Board of Trustees, First Three-Year Term:

  • Michelle De La Isla, Chief Executive Officer, Hack.Diversity
  • Helene Glotzer, Head of Enterprise Risk Management and Partner Director on Bridgewater’s Operating Board, Bridgewater Associates
  • Melissa Potter, Executive Director, Paramount Global
  • Teri Smith, Chief Operating Officer, NFL Players Association
  • Geetha Tharmaratnam, Chief Impact Investment Officer, World Health Organization
     

These distinguished leaders join other United Way Worldwide’s current Board of Trustees representing diverse and influential sector leaders in and outside the United Way network. The United Way Worldwide Board of Trustees is responsible for overseeing the business affairs of the organization, including strategic leadership, resource and relationship management, reputation building and stewardship of the organization’s mission and assets.
